The purpose of this book is to examine Canon Law from the pastoral, liturgical and administrative perspectives and to apply it to parish use. Human beings, by nature, are created to be free; thus, most people do not like to be bound by rules and regulations. But in reality, rules are created to enable people to live in freedom and harmony with one another. Although the Catholic Church is divinely instituted, it is also made up of people; hence, it is subjected to rules and regulations. The Church‘s rules are coded as Canon Law which is based on the Scriptures, interpreted by the Living Tradition and serve as guidelines for all Catholics. Nowhere is Canon Law more prevalent than within the Marriage Tribunal. In its subtle way, Canon Law is intimately present in every aspect of parish life.
