Dr. Najwa Raouda is a Lecturer at Oklahoma State University, teaching courses on Islamic culture, immigration, Arabic, Arab Americans and the American experience in Iraq. She is an American citizen of Lebanese background and holds an advanced degree in Linguistics from the Lebanese University in Beirut and the Doctor of Philosophy in Education (Curriculum and Social Foundations) from Oklahoma State University. Dr. Raouda has studied in Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia and several European countries, and has experience in conflict and post-conflict resolution, the building of civil society and the empowerment of women as a result of her work in her native Lebanon with the Women’s Organization for the Social Revival of Villages and Literacy to Empower Women.
