David Roberts MacDonald was educated at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, Seabury-Western Theological Seminary, the University of Wales, and Oxford. He holds a PhD from the Graduate Theological Foundation. He is a parish priest in the Episcopal Diocese of Washington, D.C., serving as a Chaplain of the Washington National Cathedral, and is a member of the Order of St. John.
